Image of nursing
I chose this image because nursing is more than just helping people. In some situations you may see and meet people who are at their lowest. In the emergency room people come in who are usually in desperate need of help and many would not like to be seen that way. So as a nurse you have to put any sort of judgment aside and truly just be there for them. Which through this image allows me to think about that. Thinking beyond yourself and your own needs is a major quality of a nurse to allow yourself to be present and be there for you patients.
My aunt is a RN in San Diego and through her compassion and her will to live her best life through helping others and exploring I see myself through her. Growing up I was more like her then my own mom, my interests, passions, and morals were just like hers. So now that I’m in nursing school she couldn’t be more excited.
